About me and this website
Who even am i?
My name is el, I go by they/them and it/its pronouns. Chemistry is my passion, and I want to live with it in my heart. What motivates me most is a deep desire to understand. It sounds like a cliché. And maybe it is. It doesn't make the way I feel any less authentic. Other than that, i have a lingering intererest in humanities; art, literature and philosophy in particular. You might see some of it on here, when I can finally get this old project to an acceptable state.
Why am I making this website
To put it very plainly, I don't like modern social media, I do not like AI, but I love seeing the bits of humanity being interwoven on the web, and I love accessible information. My mom taught me to pirate music when I was eight. She had been recording songs from the radio on cassettes since childhood, and never realised downloading music could be considered wrong or illegal. I grew up, despite being very young, with an idea of the internet as a place where i could learn, and find anything that interested me, no matter how niche. This eventually led me on many old websites, the beauty of which i couldn't shake out of my mind. I just want to be part of it all.

Well, currently, I'm just trying to feel human again. We shall see what the future carries in its weary arms.
